I have many shows I like to watch on satellite TV from DirectStarTV.com. Most of the programs I watch are educational and informative shows. But the channel I mostly watch on Satellite TV is Animal Planet. This is my favorite channel because they provide programs interesting and educational as well as very entertaining.
The show I used to love to watch was the ‘Crocodile Hunter’. I never missed a show and was fascinated with the variety of species of animals he introduced and the dangers he faced. After he died and so did the show, I turned to other programs. I like the River Monsters show. This guy is the ultimate fisherman like the Rambo of fishing. He catches some of the biggest scariest fish imaginable.
My favorite show on Animal Planet now is ‘Whale Wars’. To me that show is like watching a chess match on the ocean with ships maneuvering to outdo the other. The purpose of the show is to save the whales and that is a noble cause but the way they do it is absolutely original, dangerous, and completely fascinating. Both sides claim they are in the right and the Japanese clearly have the manpower and ships to eclipse the ‘Sea Shepherds’ (the name of the group trying to stop the Japanese from whaling in the Southern Ocean) but they keep coming back each year to stop the Japanese fishermen.
The locale where this show takes place is the Southern Ocean off of Antarctica the most dangerous stretch of water in the world.
